Creepoid – Wet

This four-track EP from Creepoid, released on 12” for Record Store Day on Graveface Records, is spaced out. It’s a 90’s grunge revival piece with references to Nirvana and Radiohead and very definitely The Pixies.

This is 2014 though and ‘Wet’ makes all of those bands feel almost naïve. There is a dark edge under these soft sounds. Everything’s drenched in effects subtly masking and unmasking a very melancholy and bleak collection of songs.

This is canvas music; it gives your mind the paintbrush, now go get weird.
